Saucy Grilled Salmon

Serve up some smoky grilled goodness that goes great with our Sweet Hickory Baked Beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 cedar plank
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 ¼ to 1 ½ pounds salmon filet
  • 2 lemons, halved
  • 1 tablespoon snipped fresh chives
  • 1 (28oz) can Saucy Spoon Sweet Hickory Baked Beans

Directions

Soak cedar plank in water for at least 30 minutes. Preheat grill to medium heat (350° to 400°F).

In a small bowl mix brown sugar, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper. Stir in lemon zest. Place salmon on cedar plank. Spread seasonings over salmon.

Place cedar plank over indirect heat and grill for 15 to 20 minutes or until interior of salmon is cooked through. Grill lemons, cut side down, the last 5 minutes of cooking time. In a saucepan or microwave-safe container, heat beans covered for 2 to 3 minutes or until hot.

Remove salmon to serving platter and sprinkle with chives. Serve with grilled lemons and baked beans.
